Apparently, the Olympic ceremonies are really boring for the world’s leaders. Everyone remembers Queen Elizabeth II and her not-impressed face during the 2012 London Olympic Opening Ceremony, and, well, Russia’s Vladimir Putin attempted to steal the show with his bored expression during tonight’s Olympic Closing Ceremony. Sure, it’s been a long two weeks for Putin. He’s no doubt ready to be done with this show and get back to being homophobic or whatever it is that he does as Russia’s leader. But like Charlie White, who couldn’t keep up his fake ice skating actthroughout the Closing Ceremony, Putin was unable to hide his general boredom during the event, despite the fact that several parts were very entertaining. I mean, the show’s producers made fun of their Olympic rings gaffe from the Opening Ceremony. What’s not to like about that? But even that couldn’t coax a smile from the man.
