The regional Māori hackathons we do in collaboration with T3W, Datacom, NZTE, and regional government organizations across New Zealand are the most important work we do each year. It’s been an honor to participate and speak at two Hack Tairawhiti Gisborne hacks, in May 2018 and May 2019, subsequently empowering over $10M in GDP growth and over 35 new jobs in the region.

Our latest activation was in Napier, February 27th-29th 2020. We are lucky that Hawke’s Bay Today picked up the story of our shared experience. Learn more and read the full article here.

We’ll be doing more Māori hackathons once it’s safe to gather in large groups again. We had originally slated an event in Auckland for the end of March and hope to reschedule that accordingly for later in 2020.
